When you use Bookmarkme, we store the data you create:
Your data is used solely to provide the Bookmarkme service to you. We do not sell, share, or monetize your personal data or bookmark content. Specifically:
If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We do not access your Google Drive, Gmail, contacts, or any other Google data. The Google authentication token is used solely for identity verification.
The Bookmarkme Chrome extension requests these permissions:
We do not read, collect, or transmit any data from pages you visit unless you explicitly choose to bookmark them.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card number. Stripe handles all payment data in compliance with PCI DSS standards. We store only your Stripe customer ID to manage your subscription.
Your data is stored on servers hosted in Europe. All communication between the extension and our servers uses HTTPS encryption. Passwords are hashed using PBKDF2 with per-user salts. Authentication uses RS256 signed JWT tokens.
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Settings panel in the app. When you delete your account, all your bookmarks, collections, tags, highlights, and AI summaries are permanently removed from our servers.
